It is 25 years since I put my sights on ceramics. While remaining in the world
"functionality and beauty",I have been in pursuit of ceramics as a material for modern
formative design that suit the trends of today.

Through my voyage, I have come to acknowledge the importnace of being conscious
about and in an attiude seeking the meaning as to why I lay hands on and why I
breathe life into clay. I may have come within sight the depth of the beauty and
fascinations orchestrated by clay and fire, yet realize myself still in search each coming
day. Without rush and unforced, and in my own way, the works are fruits of my
ambition to create beauty.

I hope you enjoy my works and it would be a pleasure if the slightest of my passion
towords ceramics can be conveyed through my works. Thank you.

　陶芸を志して２５年、これまで用と美の世界の中で現代造形の一素材として「やきもの」
を続けて参りました。

　そして、なぜ自分は土に触れ土に命を吹き込んでいるのか、そのことを絶えず意識しな
がら、意義を見いだそうとする姿勢がないと作品が生きてこない、と考えるようになって
参りました。一方で、萩焼として心地よく表現しているだけでもありますが、「やきもの」
と向かい合いながらも「無事大道」の境地には至りません。
　しかし、自分にとって自らの中で育んだものが最も尊いという、ささやかなそして精一杯
の誇りを持ち続けたい・・・、その思いを作品という果実の中に表現し続けていける境遇
にある事が、生涯の一番の賜だと思います。

　この四半世紀、私が「やきもの」に注いでいる情熱を作品を通して少しでもお汲み取り
頂ければ幸せに存じます。
